Our Story

How Pathiya Law Came to Be

Pathiya Law was established in Bangkok by a small group of Thai family law practitioners who noticed a gap in how legal services were delivered to families in difficult situations. Too often, clients felt rushed, confused by legal language, or unsupported through what were already hard personal moments.

The practice opened with a different approach: smaller caseloads, longer consultations, and a commitment to plain language. Every file is handled by a named practitioner who remains your point of contact throughout.

Based on Rama IV Road in Khlong Toei, we serve families across Bangkok and the surrounding regions. Our office is accessible by BTS and MRT, and we also accommodate remote consultations where that suits the family better.

What We Stand For

  • Patience over pace

We do not push families to move faster than feels right for them.

  • Clarity over complexity

All advice is translated into straightforward language, without jargon.

  • Children first

Every arrangement we help structure keeps the wellbeing of children at the centre.

  • Total discretion

Client matters are handled with complete confidentiality at every stage.

How We Keep Quality Consistent

Thai Bar Association Member

All practitioners at Pathiya Law hold current membership with the Lawyers Council of Thailand and maintain required continuing education.

Strict Confidentiality Protocol

Client information is stored securely and shared only with those directly involved in your matter. We follow Thai data protection requirements throughout.

Written Summaries at Each Stage

After each consultation or key step, clients receive a written summary of what was discussed and what comes next — nothing is left to memory.

Bilingual Service

We work comfortably in Thai and English, ensuring that all family members — regardless of language preference — can participate fully.

Careful Case Review

Every matter is reviewed before the first consultation so the practitioner is properly prepared and can use your time well.

Thai Family Law Focus

Our practice is dedicated to family law under the Thai Civil and Commercial Code — not a general firm where family matters are one of many practice areas.

Family Legal Support in Bangkok

Pathiya Law is a Bangkok-based family law practice focused entirely on the needs of families navigating separation, parenting arrangements, and dispute resolution. Our office on Rama IV Road in Khlong Toei is central and accessible, and we accommodate consultations both in person and remotely where that is more convenient.

Thai family law is detailed and can be difficult to read without a legal background. Part of what Pathiya Law offers is translation — not just of language, but of legal process into terms that make sense for everyday life. We find that clients who understand what is happening make better decisions and feel less overwhelmed.

Mediation, in particular, has become an important part of how families in Thailand resolve matters cooperatively. When both parties are willing to work together, a mediated agreement tends to be more durable and less costly than a contested process. We support families through this route with patience and without steering anyone toward an outcome they are not comfortable with.

Whether you are at an early stage of thinking through your options, or you have a specific arrangement to put in place, Pathiya Law is a practice you can approach at any point. There is no pressure to commit to anything at a first conversation.
